Humans have become creatures of busyness, lively yet meaningless activity. We are constantly doing, running, striving to achieve deadlines and expectations that society has imposed on us. We base our thoughts and actions on the ridiculous idea that happiness in just one step away. After we get this thing done, get that person to like us, achieve this status in society, and receive that promotion. It is waiting for us there, which is one step away in the future. But the future does not exist now, and with this mindset we can never be happy.
Because happiness exists only in the Now. Right here in this present moment. |
I am one with the Earth that keeps turning
One with the stars that shine
One with the waves that are ocean
One with the light that I see in your eyes
I am the waves
I am the ocean
I am stillness in motion
THERE IS BEING IN DOING
Deep inside of you, there is an endless space of nothing but peace and tranquility. It goes to the very bottom of you - behind the masks that society has imposed on you, behind prejudice and judgment, behind wishes and desires. It goes deep to who you really are at your core.
Stillness. The serenity that can only be accessed once you let go of who you think you are. And once you've been there, it feels like bliss, it feels like home. You can no longer live the life of before. Because you know that there is so much more to you than the doing, there is so much more to the ocean than the waves touching the surface. Oh, and the waves. They are just as magical. They rise and they fall, and you rise and you fall with them. What would be life spent in the high if you never experienced the low? But for us to really enjoy both, a crack has to open for our consciousness to come in. Becoming aware of our actions and their influence on others, recognising the interconnectedness of all beings, seeing the dark truth of our inside world in the outside environment. And then - taking responsibility for it all. This project is a deep dive into that ocean of your own infinite intelligence. How do we find and connect to that still place within us that is the centre of our being? How do we navigate back and forth to our inner wisdom when everything else seems to be at chaos? How do we keep our ground in the depths of the ocean when the tides start to turn? This is the exploration in front of us. Come and be part of it. |
here's our intention |
With the project Stillness in Motion, we wish to reach the following objectives:
▼ create a safe space for ourselves to learn and grow together, rising our levels of consciousness ▼ find BEING in DOING, maintaining the connection to the present moment through movement ▼ develop loving, caring and compassionate relationships with our bodies ▼ for each participant to acquire their own body movement practice for staying centred everyday ▼ create an open event for the local community around the venue, introducing the essence of Stillness in Motion through participant facilitated workshops ▼ spread the message of the project with lager circles by sharing our experience with others through meaningful follow-up activities in each partner country |
THIS IS HOW WE DO IT
The whole project is a co-creation, but we'll definitely use body movement and mindfulness practices, singing and freeing the voice, rituals and ceremonies from native tribes, dynamic meditation and visualisations, contact improvisation, tuning into senses and going for a sacred pilgrimage - all of this and much more to help you to find that space of stillness within yourself and learn to maintain a stable connection with it even at challenging times.
|
BUT WHY?
In its very essence, the project Stillness in Motion is an answer to the increasing pain we see all around us in our communities, in our environment, in our economy. The world has clearly shifted out of balance, and it is our wish and desire to support others in recreating that sense of inner harmony within themselves. Because by feeling inner harmony, we also start to feel outer harmony with the nature, people, and matters of 21st century - we come to accept things as they are, people as they are, situations as they are, and by doing so, we can take unbiased action towards a better future, improved and more inclusive relationships, and sensible decisions in various fields of our life.
Care for nature is what drives this project, and so we also bring in the principles of Zero-Waste philosophy. We reduce what we need, reuse as much as we can, send little to be recycled, and compost what we cannot. For this reason, we also ask you to take extra care for what you bring with you and how you show up in this project, limiting all waste both in terms of trash and unnecessary packaging, but also when using water and other resources of our planet. |
Here is what will happen when you come: |
As you enter the sacred space of our circle you will:
▼ Be challenged to be true to yourself, allowing vulnerability and pure acceptance of where you are in the process, ▼ Heal, deepen and build a relationship with your body that is based on compassion, love and care, ▼ Get the chance to share your personal experience, practices and tools regarding mindfulness and conscious body movement, ▼ Connect with others in ways you might never thought possible / easy / comfortable, ▼ Commit to starting / continuing your own mindful journey of learning to be present daily. |
General attitude |
We remind you that this project is a youth exchange happening under the Erasmus+ frame. You will not receive a certified training in meditation or movement practices. The team of the project are not professional psychologists, therapists or teachers.
We are here, creating Stillness in Motion together, which will require your full involvement in all of the project stages - preparation, program activities (that include you delivering your own workshops as part of the community exchange), and the follow-up phase. The attitude we are keeping throughout the project is ''I create my own reality'', which means taking full responsibility for your own experience. You will be guided in the process by gentle facilitation, but taking your own pace throughout the journey. ''Youth exchange'' also means that it's for participants aged from 18-30 years old. |
OUR SANCTUARY

Our home will be S’Om, a house located in a beautiful remote area, with the nearest town San Joan at a distance of 3 km.
S’Om is the headquarter of the Yoga and Practical Philosophy Association. We will have the whole house for ourselves, which includes cuddly common spaces, a library for me-me time and even a living pool for the warm hearted ones (''living'' means it's home for water plants). We will sleep in bunkbeds in shared rooms. Bedsheets will be provided. We will also have our cook preparing delicious, fully vegetarian meals. The venue has no alcohol and no drugs policy. To support our retreat, the WiFi connection will be limited, so feel free to leave your electronic devices behind. |
